Grief and loss

When Tears Meet Hope

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 · BSB

You have been carrying the weight of loss for months, feeling the empty chair at dinner, the silence where laughter used to be, the exhaustion that settles in your bones.

God does not pretend the pain will vanish instantly, but He offers a presence that steadies the trembling heart, a promise that the night will not swallow your breath.

Read these too

  • The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.

  • So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

    John 16:22

  • I consider that our present sufferings are not comparable to the glory that will be revealed in us.

Take heart

Even in the deepest ache, you are not abandoned; the Almighty walks beside you, holding the fragments of your brokenness and pointing to a future where sorrow will be transformed.

Pray this

Ask God to give you the gentle strength to endure each day of grief, and the assurance that His comfort is real.
